WHY US? - reason 2 & 3

This is a continuation of our previous post under the same title in which I give my reason as to why I think we won the tile this year. Read the first post here.

Reason number one was our Number One, Big Dave.

2. The van Persie Effect

The gunman turned Red devil! And what a devil he has been against our opponents! Much can be said about Robin, goals he scored, the hat-tricks, the 10 matches drought which was cured with a rain of 5 goals in just 3 matches. And that hat-trick against Aston Villa, people will tell about it for so many years to come.

The hug to SAF and attempting to lift up Rooney! Perfect van Persie. With Robin on one end and De Gea on the other hand, whatever problems arose in between were almost always minor. I imagine De Gea  'Me ocuparé de ello, se toma esa.' and Robin answering 'Ja mijn broer, laten we winnen dit.'

If I was to sum up Robin's first season at Old Trafford I would say, 'sensational!'

Attempting to lift Rooney! He did it!!

Too early to kiss it? We understand Robin...

3. The Best Team

We had the best team. Put each one of our players separately most of them, many of them are actually average players. We have David de Gea who was doubted at the beginning of the season even by MUFC fans themselves, we have Young Rafael who despite his unbelievable improvement you can see some lack of experience sometimes, Robin who at some point we thought would pull a Torres on us, Welbeck who played so well but as a forward did not do what he was supposed to do which is scoring goals, Giggs, Evra, Vidic and Rio who the coming of age slowly shows like a growing pregnancy.

So, clearly, we did not have the best players in each category but then, put them in a team, it's a whole different story! We clearly had the best team in EPL this season, no questions and no doubt!

PS: Even PFA agrees that we had the best team. Four of our players were named in the PFA Team of the Year!
