ONE: Francesc Fabregas Soler
Don't worry, Wenger is a very forgiving man.
I just refreshed manutd.com and boom, there it was, a bid has been made for Cesc Fabregas.
Moyes confirmed that and will know more in a day or two! I am positive about this because I don't think Moyes is the kind of a guy that will publicly announce his interest on a player if there was no hope of getting him. He has already been judged for loosing Alcantara to Bayern Munich, why would he set himself up for another criticism?
Wenger believes that Cesc is staying at least one more season with Barca. And since they have a first refusal right Arsenal would know if he was up for sale. But then he said something I liked;
"We have the clause in the contract so we would be on alert but at the moment that’s not something we’re after"Me: Check your emails again Mr. Wenger!
A Fabpersie reunion?
And now I will have every right to being Team Cesc! Oh, boy!
There are also news that a £26m was declined and Barca asked for at least £31m.
Whew, I am impatiently waiting.
TWO: Sale! Sale! Sale!
I understand that at some point we'll sell players before we start the season. Metro has a list of eight players that Moyes has put up for sale and some would let go for FREE if any club is interested. The players on market are Wootton, Tunnicliffe, Bebe, Macheda, Lindegaard, Anderson, Nani and Fabio.
Macheda will even go for free if any club shows interest, Nani and Anderson have already attracted attention from some clubs where as Lindegaard would only welcome a move if it guarantees him regular play time.
I support Lindegaard leaving because there is no point a 28 years old would stay on bench for a 22 years old. Nani has a year left which means unless he will get a new contract, the club would rather cash in now. Anderson, well, may be we need Fabregas back at Arsenal so he can shit on him and become the midfield magician he was.
Fabio, why is he on this list?
Let me stop here before my emotions get the best of me. Selling players is really not my favorite topic. Can't we keep them all? Please uncle Moyes! I mean all except for Bebe of course!
THREE: De Gea
You can start planning your retirement Iker, I got this bro!
It really doesn't take much for De Gea to get my attention. After all he was My player of the 2012/2013 season. And mind you, Zam Persie was also a nominee.
In a recent interview he talked about how challenging it was for a 19 years old to become a goal keeper for a club as big as Manchester United and especially with the style of English football.
"I do not think people appreciate just how hard it was for me coming to a new country at that age and a different type of football. My immediate family came over with me from the start but I missed my friends back home."He also talks about how he had to work on getting tougher and even teammates helping him to become the flying Spaniard he is today. What I really liked was his desire to have his name next to the greatest goalkeepers, Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van de Sar.
"When Edwin van der Sar said he was leaving Manchester United [two years ago] I wanted to be the man to replace him. I would love if one day the fans speak of me in the same way they speak of Edwin and Peter Schmeichel. That would mean all the hard work has paid off."
Me: Almost there kiddo, almost there. Just don't get all Spanish and bail on us, okay?
And can you imagine a 19years old wanting to replace Edwin van de Sar! That is some serious self confidence, and I approve!
He also took time to welcome Cesc to United if that move will ever be made possible. Cesc is welcome because it will be great to have more Spanish players at United. These boys and their country!!
FOUR: van Persie
I remember how Moyes said that Zam Persie was his plan A. Well, he didn't use the word Plan A but saying that Rooney will be expected to be ready when Zam Persie is not available pretty much meant the same thing to me.Zam Persie was interviewed for MUTV and how sweet of him to not take that seriously? He still believes that every position is up for grabs and he has to prove himself or else he is benched.
"Every training [session] is a big challenge - especially now everyone starts again on zero and you have to earn your place again."With everyone frustrating Baba Kai, it is good to see Zam Persie trying to level things. Might not do much but it was a nice try. And I appreciate the efforts.
He also talked of the first day he met
Ashley Young
To some, this is the closest they'll come to kissing the badge. We'll take what we can get, for now!
