Macheda was on a month long loan to Doncaster Rovers starting from 16th September. His loan spell was cut shot with a hamstring injury and he returned to Manchester United on 8th October.
Though the contract with Doncaster will be expired by the time he is fit, his trip back is a guarantee, given Manchester United agrees.
Doncaster coach Paul Dickov (or PD as Rovers call him) has expressed his desire to have the 22 years old striker back and confirms that they are already in talks with Manchester United to make that happen;
"We are speaking to Manchester United to do a deal to get him back once he is fit."Macheda played five games for Rovers and scored three goals in two matches, started with a double as Rovers drew against Nottingham Forest. This was also Macheda's home debut for the club. He recorded his third goal in a 1-0 win away to Sheffield Wednesday.
With that record Macheda is now their second top goal scorer with only a single goal behind Chris Brown (no relation).
That hamstring injury could not come at a worse time!
