Ready or Not: Spurs

Manchester United will play 9 matches between December 1st and December 28th. That is an average of one match after every three days. This will exhaust the players but the holidays season could not be any better! At least I will not complain about how much Tv subscription costs me!

Task at hand, a trip to White Hart Lane. This will be the 179th meeting between the two clubs, even though United enjoys an overall positive record of 84 wins from 178 matches, trips to Spurs are not as impressive as we have suffered 31 losses from 86 matches.

Bragging Points: Since year 2000, we have faced Spurs a total of 31 times, lost 2, drew 7 and won 22! One of those two losses was self inflicted as Evans scored an own goal in a 2-3 loss at Old Trafford.

Last week end the league have not been kind to these two. Though there is no way you can compare a 2-2 draw and a 6-0 loss, that only translated to a single point for United and none for Spurs. Kinda makes you see how unfair this is!

Spurs come to this angry and determined to show the world that a 6-0 loss at City was simply a slip up while United look to extend their unbeaten run to 12th and super confident after a 0-5 win away to Bayer Leverkusen.

Man United are getting better in all competitions. In the league we picked 4pts from two games in August, 3pts from 4 games in September which was definitely the worst. October we got better with 7pts in 3 games while we are already on 7pts in 3 games for November. A win will make this the best month since the start of this season. How about making that unbeaten run count with a win and the best month?

Moyes on Nani;
"We're trying to give him the feeling that he is important and I think it's something he himself needs - to get back to that consistency which gives him the reason to say: 'I'm the man. I can do that job regularly.'"

SCARY FACT: Of United's 10 last premier league goals, Rooney had a leg/head in eight of them, 5 assists; one in each of the last five games and three goals. Rooney and van Persie together have scored 13 of United's 20 goals and have 9 of United's 20 assists.

INJURY UPDATES: Carrick is expected back somewhere in December while Vidic, Rafael and van Persie are cleared for duty.

De Gea & Smalling  are up for their 100th appearance with United. Number One is already in the top twenty United goal keepers with the most clean sheets. He has 35 clean sheets from 99 appearances while Smalling has allowed only 102 goals in 99 appearances.

After this, the best we can do is second position while the worst is ninth.

Glory Glory Man United.
