Ready or Not: Hull City

This will be the 25th match between United and Hull City. United as expected enjoys an overall good record with 16 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses and a +26 goal difference. Our trip will not be easy at all, we have managed only six wins from twelve games with a 0 goal different while travelling to Hull City.

Hull City are on a draw streak with three consecutive draws that came after beating Liverpool 3-1 and enjoy an almost perfect home record with only one loss this season. To neutralize this, United can boost four consecutive wins which incude three clean sheets and have scored nine goals while allowing only one! And don't forget, December is usually United's favorite month. Evidence? Since 1990 United have played on every boxing day expect for 1995 and 2009 recording only one loss and two draws the rest were ALL wins.

Star man Rooney has scored five goals in three appearences against Hull City. Cleverley, Young and Welbeck have had a strangely good amazing couple of games recently. I thought that was just some holiday spirit but with Moyes insisting that he wants to give youngsters a chance and making them better, I now believe it is not an accident, these boys are finally getting it right. Januzaj has made it so easy for Moyes to explain why he plays an 18 years old ahead of seniors. Evans? Jonny is so good that I am on a countdown on when he will get his well deserved armband. Rafael? It's like he is saying 'You think last year was my year? You aint seen nothing yet people', now put that in Portuguese. Jones? The way he can play midfield on Saturday and defender on Tuesday is seriously beyond my understanding! How does he do that? De Gea? He flies, he saves and nowadays he loudly commands his box, perfection! My point is, we have a good team and anybody can walk out of this game as MoM which is such a refreshing idea.
Moyes on Rooney;
"He looks as if he is beginning to take ownership himself. He is starting to say: 'Look, come on, we need to play better. We need to make sure we are doing much more than we are doing. I see that in the dressing room. I see it every day in training when he is continually trying to improve himself. Wayne has those qualities. It is good for us. Hopefully in the years to come we are going to need that from him."
Two hints there: Rooney might be our next Captain and he is also not going anywhere! Read between the lines or just read the last sentence. Well, this is for another story, no?

INJURIES UPDATE: Fellaini is still out and will be for the next six weeks. Nani is still out too. Carrick and van Persie have been training with the team and might be playing today. Hull will also miss their top scorer Brady due to injuries.

After today's matches the best we can do is 6th position while we can not go below 8th. We are currently eight points behind league leaders Liverpool who will face Noisy neighbors today.

Glory Glory Man United.
