A Derby To Forget

It will get better.

There is absolute nothing I want to remember about yesterday. Rooney's goal was a beauty but if I have to go through four very painful events to get to it, then No thank you, I'll pass.

I wish I could call Damon the vampire and he could do that vampire thing he does to make people forget.

But I will just have to live with it. Besides, If I forget that bad experience I will not fully appreciate and celebrate the better days that are surely coming.
The blow started with a van Persie's minor injury, which according to Moyes was not that serious and he might even face Liverpool mid week. Talk about Liverpool, we have some things to settle with them.

Then the first two goals, then the two quick ones after the half time. And a Rooney consolation that was almost during Fergie time. It was awful and one of the most painful perfomances we had to watch.

We can blame players. I know I have, but after almost 24 hours I gave up. It just doesn't help. And not just helping me, blames don't even help players I am blaming. Who in his right mind will perfom bad on purpose? Or blaming Moyes for poor selection of the team. Why would he even purposely select a team that was going to loose? It's a job to him, he is not playing Fantasy Football, that's real.

Point is, some players had a bad game, or rather another bad game and may be Moyes' team selection is not something we can admire. But nobody planned to lose. Moyes had a plan and it failed. Players went on with the aim of painting Manchester red and they failed.

We can point fingers and blame but let's not forget that we now start a stretch of 5 games in 13 days which is followed by possibly the most difficult start to the Premier League we have ever had. That, plus a new coach and a new management. We got 7 ponts from a possible 15. Not what we would have liked to take but considering the circumstances we should just take what we have and move on.

The future is bright. Having a difficult start means things will get easier later. And we started the season with injuries and those players are slowly coming back. As for probably the most discussed topic, Kagawa, hope he gets whatever fitness he needs because Lord knows how much we need him.

Let's do what we do best. Let's do what makes the boys proud of putting on that red shirt. Let's stand behind the boys and support them. They need our support now more than ever. And as SAF said; 'If you can't support us when we lose, don't support us when we win."

I envy the English media for an early Christmass they are having. Hope De Gea can do what he has always done, keep his head down and keep getting better.

Tired!!

Rooney understands how we feel;
"We've all grown up - whether in Manchester, Liverpool or elsewhere in the world - with local football derbies and it's not nice when you lose one. I've been there myself as a fan and as a player it's never a nice moment."

Moyes saw what we all saw, meaning he will look to improve;
"We didn't play well. They were better and started much stronger, much quicker than us. I thought Manchester City were very good. We weren't, I've got to say, but Manchester City started the game really well." He also added; "We never really got to grips with their midfield players in the early part of the game, and because of that they started to get domination. We had to be stronger. We weren't."
And here is a message from Captain Vidic;
"We're down now(on Sunday) but from tomorrow(today, Monday) we'll try to be positive and win the next game and move on."

As the Captain said, from today we'll try to be positive. As per Captain's orders here is some little positivity:

Paul Scholes is back. We didn't expect him to stay away for too long anyways. He was on the bench with Nick Butt as they led the u19 in the 4-3 win against Bayer Leverkusen last week. Good start to the young lads in the UEFA Youth League.

Scholes is yet to decide what he wants to do but coming to Old Trafford to figure that out strongly suggests that whatever it is, he will do it at Old Trafford.

 Welcome back Scholes.

And if you thought Lingard is all we have, think again. But before you rethink here is young captain  James Wislon to help you think.
