Some accounts that you can follow and keep up with the #KiliTrek: @MU_Foundation, @ThomasCasserlys, @miss_larrisab and the official trek photographer and videographer @j_lester. And of course @ManUtd and @MUFCTanzania for the #Kilitrek and for Man United issues.
And in supporting Robson, manutd.com have dedicated this week to the Captain. For some of us who did not get to see him play, this is a good chance to get to know the longest serving Captain in the history of Manchester United/Newton Heath.
From last night. |
Kilimanjaro, here they come! |
Now you know why I say Pole Pole ndio mwendo? Robson training for Kili Trek. |
From a Tanzanian and a Manchester United supporter, Karibu Tanzania Robson and Pole pole ndio mwendo.
Another Legend made headline too. Sir Bobby Charlton added, yet another title to his name. He was awarded a degree by the University of Manchester and now it is Sir Dr/Dr Sir (I don't know what comes first) Bobby Charlton. This was a recognition of his dedication to various charities ranging from help in sponsoring the new technology that will detect and remove landmines all over the world to using sports in making positive impacts to the society.
Boys are back from International duty and only Cleverley is a doubt for tomorrow's match as he suffered a calf strain. van Persie and Fellaini played so safe to say they are okay for club duty. And for the results; van Persie, Carrick, Cleverley, Jones, Rooney, Welbeck, Fellaini, Valencia and Henriquez have joined Kagawa as the Reds we will be watching during the WC2014. There is still hope for Nani, Evra and Chicharito.
Robin got his ticket to Brazil in style, a hat-trick and becoming Netherland's all time top goal scorer. Is scoring in installments the in-thing in Robin's world for this season?
I have nothing to say for these two, so I will just let their own words speak for themselves.
Kagawa (via The Telegraph);
"Maybe it's because I'm not used to being on the pitch of late, but I didn't feel like I was able to enter these two games (against Serbia and Belarus) properly."Chicharito (via The Mirror ;
"I am working towards that - earning a spot as a starter. I know that my performance on the pitch will allow me to achieve that goal someday either here (at Manchester United) or elsewhere for any other club."If you think January is far you really need to think again. Transfer rumors are already flying from all over the place. Will it be Fabio Coentrao? Or Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez? Or the almost-had-them Herrera and Garay? May be Koke? Or has Lewandowski finally gave up on his Bayern dream? The Brazilian youngster Bruno Gomes looks like will win this race.
The 17 years old who has scored 120+ goals for club and country in the past three seasons tweeted yesterday "Hello my fans of Manchester United!!! How time..." Whatever that means, we love you too Bruno!
The teenager who is also linked with Real Madrid, Sao Paulo and Udinese went on retweeting a few tweets from Man United fans asking him about his transfer and welcoming (yes, welcoming) him to United. Last tweet was 16 hours ago.
Bruno with other two Deportivo players (Lucas Evangelista and Aguilar) were invited to train at Carrington last year and it is believed there was an agreement between Man United and their club that the players will sign for United once they are eighteen and if Man United are impressed with them.
Bruno posted this photo on twitter to accompany his news that he will train at Carrington.
Don't we all love it when a player is genuinely excited to join United? Whether he joins United or not, I am a fan already. Well, except if he signs for you know who.
People are already on he is the new Neymar but with less than five years difference between them I really do not understand this.
But Sir Alex saw him and that is all the assurance we need.
