So Long Captain Vidic

OUR Captain, OUR Vidic, OUR Serbian Terminator! It's been eight very short years. For eight years we watched you bleed for United ....

....put your body and safety on the line for United

....be half of what was one of the best partnerships in world football

After all the hard and dangerous work, for three season you lifted trophies.

It always sucks when players leave and when it is the likes of Vida, it hurts even more. 287 matches and he was on the losing side for only 41 of them. Old Trafford was a nightmare to our opponents when Vidic played. 135 matches at the Theatre of Dreams and we conceded 80 goals and lost only 11 games.

Seven red cards and three of them came while playing Liverpool, we would say Vidic picked up right where his predecessor Gary left off with a £5000 celebration. And that is not a complaint.

We wish Vidic all the best and hope his future club knows what a good, loyal player they will have. And as for me, I am starting to pack my support and ready to follow Vidic on his next challenge. While doing that, I can't help but wonder, who'll fucking murder 'em now?

Thank you Vidic for eight very wonderful and memorable years. The Red army salutes you Captain.

How it all started...

Rooney: Imagine this mate, you and me in one team.
RvP: And me up front.
Mata: Wow!!
Cole: Guys, that's playing dirty.
Evra: Back off Ashley.

Here and there

PoM

Player of the month polls are on. Who is your player of the month?

Was it De Gea? The flying Spaniard who made what the great Schmeichel called 'the best save in the history of premier league' and impressed so much that Chicharito declared him 'the best goal keeper in the world.'?

The Rooney Madness

That is a nick name I gave this Wayne Rooney transfer saga, because truth be told it is now more of a madness than anything else.

We all know Rooney. We all know where he has come from. We all know how far he has come. We all know how far he has taken us. We all know how important he is. And sadly, we all know how bad he wants to leave the club!

In 2010 Rooney made an official announcement to the world that he wants to leave the club. It is said that his reason back then was that Manchester United lacked ambition (seriously?) because the club did not spend on 'A Class' players like other clubs namely Manchester City! And that is where he wanted to go, to the noisy neighbors, well Rooney is a good singer may be he wanted to make their noises a little more bearable!

 This saga didn't even last a week and Rooney signed a new contract that would keep him at Old Trafford until 2015. In an interview early 2011 Rooney admitted that he was wrong with the whole transfer thing;
"I made a mistake. You know, when I look back at it now, I’ll say it again, how wrong was I? I’m willing to admit that."
Less than a year after that confession Rooney shows his desire to leave MUFC once again. This time he did not talk to the world but sent a transfer request to the club! His reason now is not that we lack ambition but he wants a fresh start.

Another change in his second request for leaving the club in three years is that at least he wants to get a bit far from Manchester. This time he wishes to go to Chelsea who started to send welcome messages as soon as they heard the rumors.

Ferguson confirmed that Rooney submitted a request but he was told to just get used to the idea of playing for MUFC next season because they don't have any plans of selling him. Went on saying that Rooney might not have been happy with being subbed this season but that was because it was just an average season for him, Rooney at his peak would not be subbed.

The madness continued when he was not named in the squad that faced Swansea in Sir Alex's last ever match at Old Trafford as a manager. Rumor started that he would not go down to collect his medal but he did (Thank God).

Two things happened that I wish did not happen, Rooney was booed by the crowd at Old Trafford when his name was announced to collect his medal. And the worst was that, Sir Alex hugged every player that came before him but Rooney got a brief hand shake!!

I understand the fans that booed him, I understand the fans doing the #WazzaOUT campaign on twitter. Rooney is not just any other player to Red soldiers, Rooney is this generation's Mr. Manchester. Two transfer requests in three years? Fans feel betrayed! In 2010 he said he was wrong and people forgot and now he has forgotten what he forgot? Hard to understand.

Rooney is trying to show his point. He explained why there is no 'MUFC Player' in his bio on twitter even had a quote from Nike officials on his website to explain that. He has his reasons but these angry Red soldiers would hardly listen at this point.

One thing though, attacking his wife is not justifiable. His handle is @WayneRooney, leave Mama Kai alone!
